I think the only times I've been to Brookstanton in the past month was to visit my best friend, sometimes drop off a pastry or two there. Hard to do anything besides that when you're working and have a five-month-old child, but I am really looking forward to this Gala!

Amidst all the entries of common themes these days, I just want to take the time to say happy birthday to my close friends, Caoimhe and Doyle Sullivan. Words can't describe just how grateful I am to have you in my life. Best sixteen years of my life. Kiki, don't worry about turning twenty-seven. I'm not that far behind.

I finally caught a smile on camera!
She apparently just knew when I had the camera around and refused to let anyone else see that adorable grin. So I suppose I managed to trick her! Well, it's either that or just wanted to stick her tongue out at the rest of the world. I'll go with the former.

The Banges/O'Brien Christmas tree has been put up. And we had extra help this year too!
Well, most of what Miranda tried to do was to swat the ornaments, so we had to take turns holding her as we put the thing up. She was quite fascinated with her very first experience with a holiday tradition.

Very attentive, see? Of course, by the end of the day, she was positively exhausted and missed out cheesecake my mother happened to drop by early this afternoon. Hard worker, that girl.
The holidays have seemed to approach faster than I expected. And it seems like she's growing a little more everyday. Now that the sleep schedule isn't as hectic as it was before, I do believe it's time to start taking some trips back to the museum. I've been working from home most of this time but I do miss the museum itself terribly. I'm counting my lucky stars that I have potential babysitters in my parents and in-laws.

I'm actually relieved that I didn't go to the ball. Is that selfish of me? Especially when all my friends that went were put in danger? It wasn't just because Miranda that I stayed home, but also because the whole thing just sounded like a bad idea. Masks? Really?
And if that wasn't bad enough, we now have ID cards with our bloodline on them. Is that really important? That just feels like making the job easier for You-Know-Who followers. Look for the tags that say "Pureblood", and attack anyone who isn't them!
I'm absolutely in joy with having this baby or mostly. When she cries I get s but what kind of world have I brought her into? If we waited a little longer, could it have gotten better? Or worse?
Dear Merlin, I miss work. It helped when I was too busy writing and analyzing to think of anything else.
